HomeMy Public PortalAboutr2670R E S O L U T I O N NO. 2670 WHEREAS, on July 19 and July 21, 2006 the St. Louis Metropolitan
area experienced storm incidents which caused extensive power outages throughout
the entire area, and
WHEREAS, said storm incidents caused power outrages at 6 out of 8
wastewater treatment facilities and 66 out of 267 pump stations of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and
WHEREAS, District employees worked round the clock to implement
backup power systems and on-site wastewater storage in order to maintain and
quickly return District facilities to operational status thus safeguarding the public
health and minimizing basement backups throughout the area,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT, THAT,
this Board on behalf of itself and the public which it serves, hereby expresses its
thanks and appreciation and further commends those District employees for their
extraordinary efforts and work performed in preserving the public health in the St.
Louis metropolitan area on and after the storm incidents of July 19 and 21, 2006.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted August 10, 2006.
