HomeMy Public PortalAboutr2927RESOLUTION NO. 2927 WHEREAS, the District wishes to donate five (5) decommissioned desktop computers that have no trade-in or residual value to the “Computer Refurbishing” initiative sponsored by St. Louis University Service Leadership Program. WHEREAS, the customary Information Systems’ procedure is to dispose of any technologically obsolete computers as long as they have no trade-in or residual value to the District. WHEREAS, these five (5) computers are older than 4 years in age and have no trade-in or residual value for the District. WHEREAS, pursuant to Section Seventeen (c) of Ordinance No. 9845 as adopted April 18, 1996; if approved by the Board of Trustees, said surplus desktop computers may be donated to political divisions or subdivisions of the State of Missouri, public school districts, federal education institution, federal public health and federal civil defense institutions and organizations and other non-profit philanthropic private organizations, and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Board of Trustees that said surplus desktop computers be offered to the “Computer Refurbishing" initiative sponsored by St. Louis University Service Leadership Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT, that the desktop computers as generated by the District and determined to have no trade-in or residual value and are obsolete, be offered to the “Computer Refurbishing initiative sponsored by St. Louis University Service Leadership Program. The foregoing Resolution was adopted September 16, 2010.
