Board of Assessors Meeting
November 20, 2012
Members Present: Belinda Eyestone, Diane Salomone and Howard Hayes
Also attending was David Tately, Deputy Assessor
Mr. Hayes called the meeting to order at 5:37 p.m.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward O'Connell of 121 Sheep Pond Circle appeared before the Board to
discuss their application for abatement. They explained that their home was destroyed by
fire and rebuilt according to the same plans as the original house except for a new garage and
breezeway connecting it to the house. They felt the house should be assessed the same as the
prior house, with an additional assessment for the additions, because they did not rebuild by
choice. The Board thanked them for appearing.
New Business:
Mr. Hayes moved to convene Executive Session to discuss and vote on FY 2013 Real Estate
and Personal Property Abatement Applications. Ms. Salomone seconded. Roll call vote was
taken to enter Executive Session at 5:42. Salomone-yes, Hayes-yes, Eyestone, yes.
The Board temporarily left Executive Session at 6:00 to hear the O'Connells, and rentered
Executive Session at 6:25.
The Board exited Executive Session at 7:30.
Mr. Hayes moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Ms. Salomone seconded, and it passed
3-0.

November 20, 2012
Executive Session
Howard Hayes called the Executive Session of the Board of Assessors to order at 5:37 p.m.
in the Assessors Office.
Present: Assessors Hayes, Eyestone and Salomone, and Deputy Assessor David Tately
The Executive Session was called to review and discuss Real Estate and Personal Property
Abatement Applications.
After discussion on each application, the Board voted unanimously to approve each of the
Personal Property Abatement Applications, in the amounts indicated, as shown on the list
attached hereto as Addendum 1.
After discussion on each application, the Board voted unanimously to approve each of the
Real Estate Abatement Applications, in the amounts indicated, as shown on the list attached
hereto as Addendum 2.
After discussion on each application, the Board voted unanimously to deny each of the Real
Estate Abatement Applications, as shown on the list attached hereto as Addendum 3.
Mr. Hayes moved to adjourn Executive Session. Ms. Salomone seconded. Roll call vote
was unanimous to adjourn. Hayes-yes, Salomone-yes, Eyestone-yes..
The Executive Session was adjourned at 7:30.
