Board of Assessors Meeting
December 6, 2012
Members Present: Diane Salomone and Howard Hayes
Also attending was David Tately, Deputy Assessor
Mr. Hayes called the meeting to order at 5:37 p.m.
The Board unanimously approved the minutes of the meetings of October 24, 2012 and
November 20, 2012.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Oppenheim appeared before the Board to discuss abatement application
for their property located at 690 Crowells Bog Road. They compared their assessment to
other properties on Crowells Bog Road, and to properties on Sheep Pond to support their
opinion that the property is worth $1,200,000. The Board took it under advisement, as some
members wanted to look at the property.
New Business:
Mr. Hayes moved to convene Executive Session to discuss and vote on FY 2013 Real Estate
and Personal Property Abatement Applications. Ms. Salomone seconded. Roll call vote was
taken to enter Executive Session at 6:15. Salomone-yes, Hayes-yes.
The Board exited Executive Session at 8:05.
Mr. Hayes moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 p.m. Ms. Salomone seconded, and it passed
2-0.

Board of Assessors Meeting
December 6, 2012
Executive Session
Howard Hayes called the Executive Session of the Board of Assessors to order at 6:15 p.m.
in the Assessors Office.
Present: Assessors Hayes and Salomone, and Deputy Assessor David Tately
The Executive Session was called to review and discuss Real Estate and Personal Property
Abatement Applications.
After discussion, the Board voted unanimously to approve each of the uncollectible Personal
Property Abatement Applications, in the amounts indicated, as shown on the list from the
Tax Collector, attached hereto as Addendum 1.
After discussion, the Board voted unanimously to approve the personal property Abatement
Application from Dell Financial Services in the amount of$2,640, the value of property they
had previously disposed of.
After discussion on each application, the Board voted unanimously to approve each of the
Real Estate Abatement Applications, in the amounts indicated, as shown on the list attached
hereto as Addendum 2.
After discussion on each application, the Board voted unanimously to deny each of the Real
Estate Abatement Applications, as shown on the list attached hereto as Addendum 3.
Mr. Hayes moved to adjourn Executive Session. Ms. Salomone seconded. Roll call vote
was unanimous to adjourn. Hayes-yes, Salomone-yes.
The Executive Session was adjourned at 8:05.
