Nancy Thompson called the meeting to order.A quorum was present.
The Cemetery Resources Board met on Thursday,February 15,2018 at 10:00 a.m.in the Thomas
Jefferson Room,lower level of the John G. Christy Municipal Building,320 E.McCarty Street,Jefferson
City,Missouri.
Approval of the Minutes:
A motion was made for approval of the minutes from the January 18,2018 meeting by Dawn Hackman,
Jeanne Rutledge seconded.Minutes were approved.
Old Business:
The Historic Walking Tour was discussed between board members.Nancy discussed individuals that will
be helping with representing the interred people in Old City Cemetery and Woodland Cemetery.Nancy
passed out copies of the Walking Tour brochure and flyer for the board to review and approve.
Discussion occurred about distribution of the flyers to advertise the event.Nancy also talked about
placing a couple of QR Codes on select monuments for individuals to learn about their history.Nancy
mentioned that she is working with Jane Beetem to secure use of the bathroom facilities at National
Cemetery.The board discussed the use of donated funds and what projects that needed work on,such
as the tablet stones.

Nancy stated that the National Registry Application has been submitted. It is currently in review at the
Missouri State Historic Office and will be returned to Nancy with edits. After edits it will be forwarded
to the Federal Government for consideration to be placed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
Nancy talked about Sara Walker gravestone and how Mrs. Walker was the wife of John Walker -fourth
State Treasurer of Missouri. David Grellner showed a picture of the newly poured concrete slab that will
hold the Sara Walker gravestone pieces.
Nancy discussed the management agreement with the Historic City of Jefferson. Currently the Historic
City of Jefferson Board is reviewing the agreement.
New Business:
Nancy mentioned moving the GIS mapping feature of Old City Cemetery to a more usable place on the
City of Jefferson website.
Other Topics and Issues:
The next Cemetery Resources Board meeting was set for Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the
Thomas Jefferson Conference Room at City Hall.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
