REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING, MARCH 5, 2018
CALL TO ORDER
The Regular Council Meeting of March 5, 2018, was convened at 6:00 P.M. by Mayor
Carrie Tergin.
ROLL CALL
The f ollowing Council Members were present for the roll call:
Present: Graham, Kemna, Mihalevich, Schreiber, and Ward
Absent: Fitzwater, Henry, Hussey, Prather, and Wiseman
A quorum was declared not established.
ANNOUNCEMENTS BY MAYOR, COUNCIL, AND STAFF
Announcements and Events
There is a planning committee to celebrate Thomas Jefferson’s 275th birthday.
An essay contest is in the works for high school and middle school students with
a $275 cash prize. Other activities are planned as well.
The Council Committee on Finance Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 8,
2018, 7:30 A.M., in the Boone-Bancroft Room of City Hall.
Sonny Sanders, Director of Planning and Protective Services announced the
annual Household Hazardous Waste program dates. March 14th is the first drop
off by appointment date.
LINCOLN UNIVERSITY STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE UPDATE
Caroline Wanjiru, Lincoln University Student Representative, provided the following
updates:
The Campus Activity Board hosted a play called “A Night in Harlem”, showcasing
students’ talents. The play was a big success.
Students have been active in the interview process along with the selection
committee to determine the University’s next President.
Spring Break is scheduled for next week.

Mayor Tergin introduced the USS Jefferson City Commanding Officer Kevin Moller and
Crew. A proclamation was presented to Justin King.
ADJOURNMENT
A motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Graham, seconded by Councilman
Mihalevich, and approved unanimously at 6:45 P.M.
