Minutes of the Wednesday,April 4,2012 meeting
4:00 pm in Meeting Room B, Brewster Town Hall.
The meeting was called to order at 4:05 pm by Norm Adams, Chair.
Members present: Norm Adams,Walter Powers,Janet Husband
Non-members present: James Paul Ludwig,Video Services Coordinator
Janet Husband distributed copies of the approved minutes of the Tuesday,Jan. 3,2011 meeting.
Draft minutes of the Feb. 8 and March 7 minutes of the Committee were distributed.
Walter Powers moved and Norm Adams seconded the motion that the Feb. 8 minutes be
accepted. Vote: 3 yea,0 nay. The motion passed. The minutes of the Feb.8 meeting were
accepted.
Janet Husband moved and Walter Powers seconded the motion that the March 7 minutes be
accepted. Vote: 3 yea,0 nay. The motion passed. The minutes of the March 7 meeting were
accepted. Mrs. Husband will file both sets of minutes with the Town Clerk.
James Paul Ludwig gave his monthly report. Some of the highlights were:
>HB3558 is the same legislation that has been proposed in years past. There is
apparently little chance that it will be acted upon. We would be alerted by those who
follow cable-relevant legislation at the State House if there is significant movement on
this bill.
>James Paul gave details of his plan to make use of the Anycast system to improve the
functionality of the control room. The Camera Company would have to relocate and
rewire some equipment and cables. The end result will make it possible for one
operator to record meetings in Room A and Room B simultaneously. Use of the meeting
rooms has been heavy and these changes would make it possible to broadcast live from
both rooms.
Janet Husband moved and Walter Powers seconded the motion that the committee authorize
the expenditure of up to$1200 to reconfigure the control room as Mr. Ludwig recommends.
Vote: 3 yea,0 nay. The motion passed.
The next meeting was set for Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 4 pm.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 PM.
