HomeMy Public PortalAboutCable Television Advisory -- 2012-06-05 Minutes} Brewster Cable TV Advisory Committee Minutes of the Wednesday,June 5,2012 meeting 4:00 PM in Meeting Room B, Brewster Town Hall. The meeting was called to order at 4:15 PM by Norm Adams,Chair. Members present: Norm Adams,Walter Powers Members not present: Janet Husband Non-members present: James Paul Ludwig,Video Services Coordinator James Paul Ludwig began his monthly report. The taping and live broadcast of the Spring Town meeting went well. Having the road case made transporting equipment and setting up at the school auditorium very efficient. The video presentations of Charlie Sumner and Sue Leven that James Paul had made and shown on Channel 18 contributed to voters understanding of the warrant issues. Mrs. Husband arrived at 4:22 PM. James Paul's expertise on video matters is a resource for the video-related problems of other town departments. To some extent he serves as a video coordinator for the town, within the acknowledged constraints of the cable TV franchise fund account. Members participated in a general discussion of the Lower Cape Community Access TV. The resignation of two of the three Brewster representatives to the LCCAT Executive Board is a cause for concern. Members present at the May 4, 2012 LCCAT Board meeting were pleased to learn that Channel 17's studio hours have been greatly increased. However,we have not received the promised copies of the Board's minutes. Other questions that were brought to the LCCAT Board at its last meeting remain unresolved. We look forward to viewing the video that James Paul produced with the Historical Society about the Brewster sites mentioned in Sally Gunning's book, Widow's War. Janet Husband moved and Walter Powers seconded a motion to allocate$2000 for the purchase of a hard drive and software to facilitate recording in the field. Vote: 3 yea and 0 nay. The motion passed. The next meeting was set for Tuesday,July 3,2012 at 4 PM. The meeting was adjourned at 5:49 PM. Respectfully submitted by .7anet Jfus6and Clerk, Brewster Cable TV Advisory Committee
