Leesburg Hosts Nike Basketball Camp at Ida Lee Park
Recreation Center
Leesburg, VA (August 30, 2013) – Last month, Ida Lee
Park Recreation Center was full of aspiring basketball
players as the Leesburg Parks & Recreation Department
played host to the Nike Basketball Camp-Leesburg.
“The Nike Basketball Camp-Leesburg was a great success,
attracting 60 young players eager to take their game to
the next level,” stated Director and former Washington
Wizard Awvee Storey. “Accompanied by a very
experienced group of coaches, we provided boys and girls
with a professional basketball experience, teaching the
fundamentals of the game as well as sharing our individual
stories of success, both on and off the court. We are also very pleased with our partnership with
Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation and look forward to continuing our relationship for years to
come.”
The camp also received a special visit from world champion and former Washington Bullets forward
Kevin Grevey who inspired the campers with his stories and recipe for success in basketball and life.
Throughout the year, Ida Lee Park Recreation Center hosts similar sports camps, aimed at
introducing young players to a higher level of play. For more information, please visit
