Intersection of Masons Lane at Route 15 Will Be Closed For
Virt’s Corner Realignment Work Until November 2013
Access to Gleedsville Road will be via Emerald Park Drive during construction
Leesburg, VA (September 3, 2013) – On Monday, September 16, 2013, construction on the
realignment of Virt’s Corner, the intersection of Masons Lane, Gleedsville Road and South King
Street (Route 15), will begin. During construction, which is expected to last approximately two
months, there will be no access to Masons Lane or Gleedsville Road from Route 15 at that
intersection.
Access to Gleedsville Road will be
detoured via Emerald Park Drive
during the construction. Access to
Masons Lane will be detoured via
either Emerald Park Drive or
Evergreen Mill Road. The map at
right shows the detour routes.
During construction, the traffic lanes
on Route 15 will be shifted, but both
northbound and southbound lanes
will remain open. However, drivers
should exercise caution when driving
through the construction zone, given
the change in lane alignment. For
