ORDINANCE NO.27-2014
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 2014 BUDGET
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana adopted a budget for
calendar year 2014 on October 21, 2013 with Ordinance 51-2013; and
WHEREAS, The Common Council has determined it necessary to transfer money from one major
budget classification to another within a department or office; and
WHEREAS, The transfer is necessary for mid -year stipends to be paid to the staff of the
Departments of Law, Human Resources and Information and Technology; and
WHEREAS, The transfer does not require the expenditure of more money than the total amount set
out in the budget as finally determined under Indiana Code 6-1.1-1-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, This transfer may be made under Indiana Code 6-1.1-18-6 without notice and without
the approval of the Department of Local Government Finance.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that the 2014 budget be amended as follows:
A. General Fund
Delete $1,000.00 from Physicals (HR)
Account number 10 1.0 1.003.110.000.3110
Add $1,000.00 to Salaries and Wages
Account number 10 1.0 1.003.110.000.1196
Delete $2,000.00 from Training and Education (IT)
Account number 101.12.120.110.000.3911
4. Add $2,000.00 to Salaries and Wages
Account number 101.12.120.110.000.1196
Delete $1,000.00 from Litigation (Law)
Account number 101.05.050.110.000.3121
6. Add $1,000.00 to Salaries and Wages
Account number 101.05.050.110.000.1196
