CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS: The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 6:00 p.m. Present were Councilmembers Luis Lauredo, Edward London, Allison McCormick, Kathleen Petros, Ignacio Segurola, Vice Mayor Brett G. Moss (arrived at 6:06 p.m.) and Mayor Michael W. Davey. Also present were Village Manager Andrea Agha, Village Clerk Jocelyn B. Koch and Village Attorney Chad Friedman. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Mayor Davey led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS: There were no callers present. 4. DISCUSSION: Mayor Davey addressed the Council regarding the Manager's September 24th, 2020 resignation, the Council's next steps and the Manager's contract. The Attorney and the Manager addressed the Council regarding the Manager's resignation. There was extensive discussion from Council regarding the above matter and next steps. Councilmember Lauredo made a motion to keep the Manager in her position to November 30`", 2020 and have the Manager start bringing in search firms to discuss at the next Regular Council Meeting. The motion was seconded by Mayor Davey. Councilmember Segurola made a friendly amendment that the Council aim for November 30th, 2020 but not bind themselves to that date. The motion was seconded by Councilmember London. The friendly amendment was accepted by Councilmember Lauredo. The Attorney addressed the Council suggesting keeping the 90 -day time period as is and that Council can decide at a later date to shorten the time period at the next Regular Council Meeting. September 29, 2020 It was the consensus of Council that the goal is to try and let the Manager leave by November 30`h, 2020 but to leave the time period at 90 days and revisit this issue at the next Regular Council Meeting. Councilmember Lauredo withdrew his motion. Councilmember Segurola withdrew his motion. The Council directed the Manager to get at least four search firm proposals and after 48 hours the Mayor may call a Special Council Meeting. 5. SCHEDULE OF FUTURE MEETINGS/EVENTS: A schedule of future meetings and events was presented to the Council. 6. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 6:41 pp. Respectfully submitted: Jocelyn B.
