The Mayor called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. Present were Councilmembers Luis de la Cruz,
Gary R. Gross, Allison McCormick, Brett G. Moss, Kathleen Petros, Vice Mayor Franklin H. Caplan
and Mayor Mayra P. Lindsay. Also present were Village Manager John C. Gilbert, Village Clerk
Conchita H. Alvarez and Village Attorneys Chad Friedman and Haydee Serra.
Chief Eric Lang, Building, Zoning and Planning Interim Director addressed the Council and the
public welcoming everyone to this workshop.
Ms. Alicia Verea-Feria, EL, CFM with Tetra Tech gave an overview powerpoint presentation on the
proposed Flood Ordinance.
Chad Friedman, PA with Weiss Serota Helfman Cole & Bierman and Village Building Official
Eugenio Santiago addressed the Council and the public regarding the zoning impacts and legal
implications.
Moderator Christopher Zavatsky, PE with Tetra Tech conducted the questions and answer session.

The following residents addressed the Council: Tony Winton, Crandon Boulevard; Michele Estevez,
798 Crandon Boulevard and Don Ellisburg, 177 Ocean Lane Drive.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
