ORDINANCE NO. /51 o
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION, AND FORESTRY TO PARTICIPATE IN
COOPERATIVE PURCHASING PURSUANT TO SECTION 26A-65 OF THE CITY
CODE FOR PARKS EQUIPMENT, FIXTURES, AND INFRASTRUCTURE
COMPONENTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 26A-65 of the City Code, the City Council hereby
authorizes the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry to utilize cooperative
purchasing through National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA) for the
replacement, installation, or maintenance of park equipment, fixtures, and specialized
components for City park property for a period of two (2) years from the date of this
Ordinance.
Section 2. The authority granted by this Ordinance shall not extend to purchasing
of park equipment, fixtures, and specialized components that were not bid through a
competitive process or for professional services including engineering, architecture,
planning, construction management, or other similar professional services.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
