41 1971, with Mayor Ross presiding and all councilmen in attendance.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read on a motion
by Eckhoff, seconded by Claassen. Carried.
On a motion by Claassen, seconded by Huisman, the following hills
were allowed for payment:
Aeilt Terfehn, net salary $362.36
Herman DeVries, net salary 362.36
Henry J. Grobe, net salary 72.00
Willard Ross, 6 months salary 171.36
Bernard Harms, salary for one year 120.00
B & H Skelly, gas, oil, and labor 182.39
Blythe & Sons, backhoe and labor 343.80
Hippen Ready Mix, refund on water bill 116.53
Hippen Tire & Battery, repair pick up 86.80
Grundy Co. Sanitary Landfill Comm., disposal 72.38
Ackley Quarrief, rock 147.92
Peoples Savings Bank, box rent 2.00
Cordes Hdwe., misc supplies & labor 17.46

On motion by Van Deest, seconded by Eckhoff, the following
appointments made by Mayor Ross were confirmed:

Streets and Alleys Huisman, VanDeest
Fire & Public Safety VanDeest, Hippen
Sewer & Sanitation Eckhoff, Claassen
Parks and Recreation Claassen, Van Deest
Clerk Henry J. Grobe
Treasurer Bernard Harms
Mayor Pro-tem Lester Huisman
Attorney T. H. Heronimus
On a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Eckhoff, the Peoples
Savings Bank of Wellsburg was made the depository for town funds
not to exceed $100,000. Carried.
A motion was made by Hippen and seconded by Van Deest to
approve the cigarette permit application of Krull's Skelly Service
and to refund B & H Skelly for six months on a returned permit.
Carried.
Following a motion by Huisman, seconded by Eckhoff, the meeting
stood adjourned.
