Minutes of Meeting
USS Jefferson City Submarine Committee
Wednesday, February 21, 2018; 5:30 p.m.
City Hall - 320 East McCarty Street
Boone Bancroft Conference Room
1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Dulle called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Committee Members present: Chair Hal Dulle; Bob Priddy; Marti Thruston; Michael
Ryno; Lori Rosberg and City Council Liaison Dave Kemna.
Committee Members absent: Ivan Turner; Stephen Sampson and Patrick Bonnot.
A quorum was declared present.
ATTENDEES:
Also in attendance were Mayor Tergin and City Administrator Steve Crowell.
3. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA
Committee Member Ryno made a motion to approve the agenda; seconded by
Committee Member Thruston.
Aye: Dulle; Priddy; Ryno; Rosberg; and Thruston.
Nay: None.
4. APPROVAL OF THE January 24, 2018 MEETING NOTES:
Committee Member Ryno made a motion to approve the January 24, 2018 minutes;
seconded by Committee Member Thruston. There was not a quorum for the January 24,
2018 meeting.
Aye: Dulle; Priddy; Ryno; Rosberg; and Thruston.
Nay: None
5. OLD BUSINESS:
None.

6. NEW BUSINESS:
Committee Member Thruston reviewed the tentative schedule for the USS Jefferson
City Submarine Crew visit tentatively planned for March 1, 2018 – March 5, 2018. The
Committee agreed to participate in the event as schedules permitted.
The USS Jefferson City crew members expected to be in attendance are:
Kevin Moller, CDR, Commanding Officer
Mark Szymanski, MMACS, Chief of the Boat
Aspen Seer, MMA1, Auxiliary Division Leading Petty Officer
Rudy Garay, STS1, Sonarman and Command Career Counselor
Justin King, FTSA, Fire Control Technician
A telephone conversation was held with Captain Moller and COB Szymanski regarding
the upcoming visit.
Chair Dulle and committee members thanked Ms. Thruston for her leadership and
participation with the itinerary, event coordination, etc.
Committee Member Ryno made a motion to pay for expenses related to the crew visit
by the USS Jefferson City Submarine crew from the appropriate USS Jefferson City
Submarine account; seconded by Thruston.
Aye: Dulle; Priddy; Ryno; Rosberg; and Thruston.
Nay: None
7. PUBLIC COMMENTS:
None.
8. NEXT MEETING DATE:
No future meeting date of the USS Jefferson City Submarine Committee was scheduled.
9. ADJOURNMENT:
Motion to adjourn was made by Committee Member Ryno; seconded by Committee
Member Priddy.
