CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO.2019-03
RESOLUTION RECEIVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING
FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON 2019 BROCKTON LANE SANITARY SEWER
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, a feasibility report has been prepared by Bolton & Menk, Inc., the Project
Engineer for the cities of Plymouth and Medina, regarding a sewer improvement project for
Brockton Lane; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of replacement of sewer main, manholes and services on
Brockton Lane from Hamel Road to 625 feet south of Hamel Road; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the project is necessary,
cost-effective and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with some
other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended; and a description of
the methodology used to calculate individual assessments for benefitted parcels.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the city council of the city of Medina, as
follows:
1. The feasibility report is hereby accepted, and the project is determined to be
necessary, cost-effective and feasible.
2. The project shall be constructed using competitive bids received by the city
Plymouth, in partnership with the city of Medina.
3. The city council shall consider the making of such improvements in accordance
with the feasibility report and assessing benefited properties in accordance with the city's special
assessment policy and pursuant to Minn. Stat., Chapter 429. The estimated total cost of the project
is as follows:
• Brockton Lane Sewer $129,001.08
4. A public hearing to consider the making of such improvement shall be held at 7:00
p.m. in the council chambers at Medina city hall on February 19, 2019.
5. City staff is directed to prepare the appropriate notices for the improvement hearing
and to cause the proper published and mailed notices to be given for the public hearing as required
by law and in accordance with the above schedule.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Anderson
and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Albers, Anderson, DesLauriers, Martin, Pederson
And the following voted against same:
None
Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
