A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE
COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AND
CALTRANS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
PLAN DURING THE REHABILITATION OF ROUTE Z10 FROM FIRESTONE
BLVD TO 405 FREEWAY
WHEREAS, the Department of Transportation ("Caltrans") is rehabilitating
the pavement on Route 710 from Firestone Blvd. to Route 405 ("Project") and is
requesting the City's assistance in the implementation of a Traffic Management
Plan for traffic to be temporarily diverted to City streets during the construction of
the Project; and
WHEREAS, Caltrans will start the construction of the Project on August
29, 2009 and is anticipated to complete the Project on April 29, 2011.; and
WHEREAS, the State shall reimburse the City for its actual costs incurred
in an amount not exceed Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000), in connection
with the assistance of the Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby,
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the Cooperative
Agreement between the City of Lynwood and Caltrans assist in the
implementation of a traffic management plan.
~ Section 2. That the City Manager or his designee is authorized to
' designate an appropriate staff person to serve as liason to Caltrans Resident
` Engineer in connection with this project.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of September, 2008.
