A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN FEDERAL
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) GRANT PAPERWORK FOR THE CITY OF
RIVERDALE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a Municipal Corporation, organized and
operating under the laws of the State of Iowa;
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale sustained damage during the August 10, 2020 Derecho;
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale occurred unforeseen expenses as a result of the
Derecho;
WHEREAS, the City Administrator for the City of Riverdale as already applied and
completed the initial paperwork for FEMA reimbursement; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the reimbursement application and
authorization the Mayor and the City Administrator to complete the attached
reimbursement application (attached Exhibit "A").
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, IOWA,
The City Council hereby accepts and reaffirms that the Mayor and City Administrator of
the City of Riverdale, Iowa, are hereby authorized to execute the FEMA Grant
Application on behalf of the City of Riverdale, Iowa.
Passed, approved and adopted this 8th day of December 2020.
