COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, APRIL 16, 2018
CALL TO ORDER
The City Council “Pre-Meeting” of April 16, 2018, was convened at 5:45 P.M. by
President Pro Tempore Rick Prather in the absence of Mayor Carrie Tergin.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Prather,
Schreiber, Ward, and Wiseman
Absent: None
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
FIRST COUNCIL MEETING (Current Council)
Prayer
- Councilwoman Wiseman will lead the prayer.
Mayor Tergin arrived at 5:47 P.M. and proceeded to run the meeting.
Miscellaneous
- Mayor Tergin ran through the list of Miscellaneous Items on the Agenda.
Public Hearings
- Eric Barron, City Planning Manger will present Bill 2017-126.
Presentations From Staff, Consultants & Invited Guests
- Gary Wilbers will present on local small business fairness.
- Abigail Anderson will present American Red Cross updates.
Bills Pending
- Jayme Abbott, Neighborhood Services Manager requested that the bill
sponsor for Bill 2017-131 withdraw the bill, and introduced it at a later time.
New information has become available in regards to the bill.
Adjourn Sine Die
- Mayor Tergin reminded the Council that they will adjourn Sine Die. The newly
elected officials will then be sworn in by Honorable Patricia S. Joyce.

SECOND COUNCIL MEETING (New Council)
After swearing in the newly elected officials, the second meeting will be called to order
for the purpose of nominations and elections of the following:
- Council Committee on Administration
- Council Committee on Annexation
- Council Committee on Finance
- Council Committee on Public Safety
- Council Committee on Public Works & Planning
- Appointments to CAMPO Board
The Committee on Finance plans to meet the third Thursday of the month.
The Committee on Public Works & Planning intends to meet the second Thursday of the
month.
The current Chair of each of the Committees will run the individual meetings.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 5:55 P.M.
