A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE RECOVERY AND
REIMBURSEMENT TO THE GENERAL FUND OF
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT COSTS INCURRED IN
ADMINISTERING THE CITY'S RETIREMENT FUND
DURING FISCAL YEARS 1978-1979 THROUGH
1991-1992
authorized to recover costs, including general overhead costs and
departmental overhead costs, reasonably borne in providing
various services, including the administration of special funds
maintained by the City; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1291, as adopted on May 19,
1987, established a "Fee and Service Charge Revenue Cost
Comparison System" in accordance with which the City is
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 93-90, adopted on July 20,
1993, established a cost recovery mechanism whereby the General
Fund was authorized to charge the Retirement Fund a fee in the
amount of ten percent (10%) for
costs and five percent (5%) for
administrative costs; and

WHEREAS, notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary
contained in Resolution No. 93-90, ~:he City Council has
determined that prudent financial management requires the
recovery by the General Fund of costs reasonably and necessarily
incurred in the administration of the Retirement Fund during
fiscal years 1978-1979 through 1991-1992, in the total amount
calculated by the City's Finance Department and set forth in
Table 3 to its Report dated June 28, 1996, as submitted to the
City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. City staff is authorized and directed to
take all necessary and appropriate action to ensure the recovery
by the General Fund from the Retirement Fund of all costs
reasonably and necessarily incurred in the administration of the
Retirement Fund during fiscal years 1978-1979 through 1991-1992
in the amount calculated by the City's Finance Department and set
forth in Table 3 to its Report dated June 28, 1996, as submitted
to the City Council.
Section 2. To the extent that any provisions of
Resolution No. 93-90, as adopted on July 20, 1993, are
inconsistent witY~ the provisions of this resolution, they are
superseded by the provisions of this resolution.
Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to certify to
the passage and adoption of th~_s resolution.
