A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDONMENT
FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES OLANDA STREET (FORMERLY
EUCLID AVENUE) BETWEEN ATLANTIC AVENUE AND
COOKACRE STREET AS SHOWN ON MAP OF TRACT NO.
7099 IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, MAP BOOK 101,
PAGES 6-7 OF MAPS IN THE OFFICE OF THE LOS
ANGELES COUNTY RECORDER
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conditionally
approved Tentative Tract Map No. 52140 on February 26, 1996, and;
WHEREAS, Tentative Tract Map No. 52140 requires the
vacation of Olanda Street (formerly Euclid Avenue) between
Atlantic Avenue and Cookacre Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did,
on the 2nd day of July, 1996, adopt Resolution No. 96-92,
declaring its intention to vacate Olanda Street (formerly Euclid
Avenue) between Atlantic Avenue and Cookacre Street, in the City
of Lynwood, as hereinafter described; and ~"'
WHEREAS, notices of said vacation have been published
and posted in the time, form, and manner required by law; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the matter was held on
the 16th day of July, 1996,"as prescribed by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood as follows:
Section 1. That as part of Tentative Tract Map
No. 52140, the following described street is unnecessary for
present or prospective public use, and that the public interest,
necessity and convenience require that the City Council of said
City hereby order the vacation and abandonment of said street.
Olanda Street (formerly Euclid Avenue} between
Atlantic Avenue and Cookacre Street as shown on
Map of Tract No. 7099 in the City of Lynwood,
State of California, Map Book 101, pages 6-7 of
maps in the Office of the Los Angeles County
Recorder.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood
~ does hereby determine that the public convenience and necessity
require that an easement be retained for construction and
maintenance of utility lines within the limits of street vacation
as described in Section 1.
Section 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood
shall cause a certified copy of said order to be recorded in the
office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of
