Public Hearing-Regulation of the BBOH Restricting the Sale of Tobacco Products &Nicotine Delivery Products Bob Colette from the CCRTCP and Cheryl Sbarra, Attorney were present to answer any questions. JH spoke about the letters received from NESSARA&RAM regarding their concerns with the regulation. CS stated that she has a clean draft of the regulation and will email it to the office. The Board agreed to bring this back to the next work meeting. 2. Discuss BOH Regulation Prohibiting Smoking in Workplaces and Public Places Cheryl Sbarra told the Board that this draft will be adding"electronic cigarette"to it. Board will bring this back to the next work meeting. 3. Mara Lielbling-presentation of her proposal for Prevention of Hookworm & Roundworm Infections in Brewster JH explained to ML that because of pending litigation, the Board would not discuss anything to do with the"Dogs Banned from Drummer Boy Park"regulation but stated that they would listen to her presentation. ML read her proposal to the Board and also a letter in support of her proposal from Lauren Velez-Collazo, Veterinarian. Michael Lavender and Martin Jacobs and Gail Nathanson, members of the audience spoke about their concerns with regards to the regulation and signage at Wing Island. 4. Sue Finnegan-appeal to the BOH to allow her working dog at Wing Island MC-disclosed that she will be volunteering to help with the program this summer. SF explained to the Board that she is involved with the Wing Island Bird Banding Program at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. She is asking the Board for permission to bring her dog with her when she goes to work. She is on the island very early in the morning and needs the dog for not only safety reasons, but the dog keeps predators away from the birds. She stated that the dog is never on the paths to the beach nor is he on the beach. She cleans up after him and he is on a leash. The program runs between April and November and she is working roughly 55 days a year. Motion: KJ-allow Ms. Finnegan's dog to be a"work dog"on Wing Island and will be kept on a leash. Discuss and possibly approve request from Board of Selectmen's office for a roll off container at Transfer Station Ji!lien Douglass stated that they are in the process of receiving a grant to get a roll off container for the Transfer Station. As part of receiving that grant, BOH approval is needed. A map showing the potentially location was given to the Board. Motion: LS-approve container and location. KJ seconded. 5 yes. 6. Discussion: SAYE program MC gave a power point presentation on this to the Board. 7. Discussion: changes in how variances are granted MC will go over this again and bring suggestions back to the Board. 8. Discussion: Public Health Department Accreditation LS spoke to the Board about this. The fee to do this is very high. NI told the Board that she doesn't know of any other Health Department that is accredited. 9. Minutes from 5/1/12 meeting Motion: KJ-approve minutes as written. Jf-seconded. 5 yes. 10. Discussion: Summer meeting schedule The Board agreed that due to conflicts they would meet on July 17, 2012 and August 21, 2012. yi ti Bills to be paid were signed by the Chairman.
