A Special Meeting was held by the Mayor and Council of the Borough SPECIAL
of Carteret on Tuesday, May 23, 2002, 6:30 P.M., Municipal MEETING
Court/Police Facility, 230 Roosevelt Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
ROLL CALL
-- Upon individual roll call the following were noted present:
Mayor James A. Failace
Councilmember Frank Parisi " Daniel Reiman
" Ronald Rios
" Brian Sosnowski
Noted absent were Councilmembers Janet Santoro and Buddy NOTED ABSENT
Sohayda.
Also noted present were Borough Attorney Robert Bergen, Fire ALSO NOTED
Captain Robert Magella and members of the Carteret First Aid Squad. PRESENT
Statement of Meeting Notice was mailed to the Home News Tribune, STATEMENT OF
The Star Ledger and posted on the bulletin board on May 17, 2002. MEETING NOTICE
The purpose of the meeting is to adopt a resolution to go into Closed PIJRPOSE OF
Session, Re: Contract Negotiations with the Carteret First Aid Squad MEETING
and any other business that may come before the Council. Formal
action may be taken.
RESOLUTION//02-232 was introduced by the Mayor and referred to RESOLUTION

Upon MMS&C by Councilmembers Reiman and Sosnowski

"RESOLUTION TO GO 1NTO CLOSED SESSION" CLOSED SESSION
was adopted. Upon individual roll call vote, Councilmembers Parisi, ADOPTED
Reiman, Rios and Sosnowski voted in the affirmative.
__ Councilmembers Santoro and Sohayda were noted absent.
At approximately 6:32 P.M., the meeting was closed to the public. CLOSED TO
PUBLIC

MEETING OPENED Upon MMS&C, by CounciLmembers Rios and Sosnowski and
unanimous affirmative vote of the five (5) members present, the
meeting was opened to the public at approximately 8:21 P.M.
ADJOURNED There being no further business or discussion, upon MMS&C, by
Councilmembers Reiman and Rios and unanimous affirmative vote of w
the five (5) members present, the meeting was adjourned at
approximately 8:22 P.M.
