A Special Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of SPECIAL
Carteret was called to order by Mayor James A. Failace at 7:00 P.M., MEETING
on Thursday, June 20th, 2002, at the Municipal Court/Police Facility,
230 Roosevelt Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
Upon individual roll call the following were noted present: ROLL CALL
Councilmember Frank Parisi " Daniel Reiman
" Ronald Rios
" Janet Santoro
Noted absent were Councilmembers Buddy Sohayda and Brian
Sosnowski.
Also noted present was Borough Attorney Robert Bergen.
The Clerk stated that on June 14, 2002, in full compliance with the STATEMENT OF
Open Public Meetings Act, a notice of tonight's meeting was sent to MEETING NOTICE
The Home News Tribune, The Star Ledger and posted on the bulletin
board.
The purpose of the meeting was to adopt a resolution to go into Closed PURPOSE OF
Session to discuss First Aid Matters and any other business that may MEETING
come before the Council. Formal action may be taken.
RESOLUTION #02-256 was introduced by the Mayor and referred to RESOLUTION #02=256
-- the Council for action.
Upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Reiman and Rios
RESOLUTION #02-256 CLOSED SESSION
"RESOLUTION TO GO INTO CLOSED SESSION"
was adopted. Upon individual roll call vote, Councilmembers Parisi, ADOPTED
Reiman, Rios and Santoro voted in the affirmative. Councilmembers
Sohayda and Sosnowski were noted absent.
At approximately 7:02 P.M., a Closed Session was held.
Upon MMS&C, by Councilmembers Reiman and Rios and unanimous OPENED TO PUBLIC
affirmative vote of the five (5) members present, the meeting was
-- opened to the public at approximately 7:34 P.M.
JUNE 20, 2002
ADJOURNED There being no further discussion, the meeting was adjourned upon
MMS&C, by Councilmembers Reiman and Santoro and unanimous
affirmative vote of the five (5) members present at approximately 7:35
P.M.
