SANITARY SEWER WORKSHOP
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA
TUESDAY, JANUARY 18, 2005

The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 7 00 p m Present were Councilmembers Enrique
Garcia, Steve Liedman, Jorge E Mendia, Thomas Thornton, Patncia Weinman, Vice Mayor Robert
L Vernon and Mayor Robert Oldakowski Also present were Village Manager Jacqueline Menendez
and Village Attorney David M Wolpin
The Mayor addressed the Council and the public indicating that the purpose of this workshop is to
provide information regarding the sanitary sewer project and to reach consensus to direct the
Manager to bnng a resolution to Council at another meeting, to start the project
The Manager addressed the Council and the public
Patncia Carney and Jim Morns with PBS&J addressed the Council and the public giving an
overview of the sanitary sewer project
Armando Nunez, Public Works Director, also addressed the Council regarding the project
Paul Andre, Flonda Health Department and Roger Hemstadt and Jose Galan, Miami -Dade
County Capital Improvement Office addressed the Council

The following residents addressed the Council Bruce Cuthbertson, 635 Allendale Road, Jim
Natlan, 80 West Mashta Dnve, Carol Natlan, 80 West Mashta Dnve, John Festa, 695 Harbor
Lane, Kim Newlin, 755 Allendale Road, Finlay Matheson, 40 West Matheson Dnve, Clayton
Tootle, 290 Cranwood Dnve, Mortimer Fned, 291 Harbor Court, Chns Johannsen, 212 West
Mashta Drive, Linda Davitian, 720 Myrtlewood Lane, Kathy King, 745 Fernwood Road,
Ward Rathbone, 275 West Mashta Dnve and Ira Kurzban, 300 Pacific Road
There was extensive discussion by Council regarding the sanitary sewer project
It was the consensus of Council to direct the Manager to bring before the Council a resolution
authonzing the resurvey of the sewer project area, a time table for the project and a financial
analysis
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9 15 p m
