WHEREAS, the Planning Comzz~i.ssion con.dit~_onally
- approved Tentative Parcel. Map No. 2430:1 on May 5, ~.9'?6, and;
WHEREAS, Tentative Parce_1 Map I~1o. 24301 requires the
vacation of the first alley west of At~lant:ic Avenue between
Pendleton Avenue and Abbott Road; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood did.,
~k on the 1st day of October, 1996, ado~:)t Resolution f~Ta. 96-154,
declaring its intention to said alley, as hereinafter de4>~:~r_~bed;
and
WHEREAS, notices of said vacation have been piablisheci
and posted in the time, form, and manner requir.er] b~;~ _l.aw; anal
WHEREAS, a public hearing on t.h.e matter was he1_ci on the
15th day of October, 1996, as prescribed by latter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City C'ozlrrr_i1 of
the City of Lynwood as follows:
Section 1. That as part of Tentative Parcej_ Map
No. 24301, the following described
present or prospective public use, alle
a:nd y i_s unnecessary
that the pzzblic: for
interest,
necessity and convenience require t hat. the City Counci_1 of said
l City hereby order the vacation and aban donment o:E sa:icl alley.
The first alley west of Atlantic Avenue bounded
to the north by the southerly line of Abbo-~~t:
Road, and bounded to the south by the nori:herly
line of Pendleton Avenue as slzo~~rn on Mari o:f the
Downey and Hellman Trart i.n the City of:~
Lynwood, State of Cal iforrzia, Miscellaneozzs
Record 3, page 31 of Maps i.n the C~f:.f.ice of tl~ce
Los Angeles County Kecorder.
Section 2. The C.;'ity C'ounci.l of: the City of: Lynwood
does hereby determine that the public convenience arzci necessity
require that an easement be retained for construc'r.~on ezncl
maintenance of utility lines within the limits of: ~>t.:i:~~^et vacation
as described in Section 1.
Section 3. That the City Clerk. of -t:he City of_ Lynwood
shall cause a certified copy of said o}-der to be recorded i_n tJ•re
office of the Recorder of Los Angeles t;ounty.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
