HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-07-04 Beach Concession Workshop.tifMINUTES BEACH CONCESSION WORKSHOP KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2004 COUNCIL CHAMBER 560 CRANDON BOULEVARD The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 7 55 p m Present were Councilmembers Enrique Garcia, Steve Liedman, Jorge Mendia, Thomas Thornton, Patncia Weinman, Vice Mayor Robert L Vernon and Mayor Robert Oldakowski Also present were Village Manager Jacqueline R Menendez, Village Clerk Conchita H Alvarez and Village Attorney David M Wolpin The Mayor welcomed the public to the Beach Concession Workshop The following staff was also present Director of Building, Zoning and Planning Jud Kurlancheek, Chief of Fire Rescue John C Gilbert, Chief of Police Charles R Press, Deputy Chief of Police Brett Capone, Major Rene Landa, Public Works Director Armando Nunez and Finance Director Randolph White Director Kurlancheek addressed the Council regarding the beach concessions and related commercial activities conducted on the public beach 1 oft December 7 2004 Mayor Oldakowski opened the floor for discussions The following persons addressed the Council Ed Meyer, 100 Sunrise Dnve, Michele Estevez-Hayes, 798 Crandon Boulevard, Mortimer Fned, 291 Harbor Court, Andy Langesfeld, El Club Watersports, Grand Bay Club, Bons Fernandez, 100 Ocean Lane Dnve, Shirley Feldman, 1121 Crandon Boulevard, Peter Michelena, El Club Watersports, Grand Bay Club, Susan Amick, 100 Ocean Lane Dnve, Matthias Kammerer, 765 Curtiswood Dnve and Navel Johnson, 575 Crandon Boulevard The Attorney addressed the Council regarding the definition of vessels and what it is allowed under the Village Code There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10 10 p m tfully submrttted l'a"/AP onchita H Alvarez, CMC Village Clerk Approved this 11th day of January , 2005 ,/to (cet,t, (______ Robert Oldakowski Mayor IFA PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT A MEETING OR HEARING, THAT PERSON WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS AND, FOR SUCH PURPOSE, MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED 2 of 2
