HomeMy Public PortalAbout2018-05-07 pre-meeting1 COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, MAY 7, 2018 CALL TO ORDER The City Council “Pre-Meeting” of May 7, 2018, was convened at 5:47 P.M. by Mayor Carrie Tergin. ATTENDANCE The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened: Present: Graham, Hensley, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Prather, Schreiber, Ward, and Wiseman Absent: Fitzwater A quorum was present. DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS Prayer - Councilman Hussey will lead the prayer. Miscellaneous - Police Chief Roger Schroeder will recognize recent retiree, Kathy Abernathy for her 25+ years of service. - Mayor Tergin will present the Kids to Kids Park Day Proclamation to Danny Lyskowski and Kelsey Thompson. Appointments by the Mayor - Mayor Tergin will recommend the presented list of City Council Liaisons to the City Boards/Commissions. Announcements by Mayor, Council & Invited Guests - Councilman Hussey will update the Council on the Charter Review Advisory Committee’s progress and upcoming meetings. - Councilman Mihalevich will provide a recap on the Thomas Jefferson 275th Birthday Celebration. - City Council members will meet in Council Chambers at 5:30 P.M., before the May 21st Council Meeting, for the 2018-2019 City Council group photo. - Fire Chief Matt Schofield will make a Fire Safety Announcement. 2 COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, MAY 7, 2018 Bills Introduced - Matt Morasch, Director of Public Works, will present Bills 2018-005, 2018- 006, and 2018-008. - Jayme Abbott, Neighborhood Services Manager, will present Bill 2018-007. Councilwoman W ard will amend the bill, deleting references to the property being known as the Dalton House. Councilwoman Ward will then request to suspend the rules to take up 2018-007 as amended, for third reading and final passage. - Eric Barron, Planning Manager, will present Bill 2018-009. - Ryan Moehlman, City Counselor will present Bills 2018-110 and 2018-111. Bills Pending - Matt Morasch will present Bills 2018-001 and 2018-002. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 5:56 P.M.
