AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2000-4,AN ORDINANCE
DESIGNATING STOP INTERSECTIONS
WHEREAS,I.C.9-21-1-3 grants the City of Greencastle the authority to designate intersections as stop
intersections,which requires all vehicles to stop at one or more of the entrances to the intersections;
WHEREAS,said statute requires the adoption of an ordinance designating stop intersections;
WHEREAS,the City of Greencastle adopted Ordinance 2000-4 An Ordinance Designating Stop
Intersections setting out all stop intersections within the City of Greencastle,and has amended it in Ordinances
2002-18,2004-37,2007-9,2008-11 and 2018-1;
WHEREAS,the City of Greencastle has determined that a stop sign should be installed at the locations
listed below,and wishes to amend Ordinance to add those intersections.
THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED AND ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Greencastle,
Indiana:
1. That Ordinance 2000-4 An Ordinance Designating Stop Intersections,as previously amended,is
hereby further amended to add the following stop intersections for the City of Greencastle on the
streets listed below:
Street—Sign Locationintersecting Street Number of Stop Signs
Woods Edge Blvd Cedarwood Dr. 2
(North Intersection)
Woods Edge Blvd Cedarwood Dr. 2
(South Intersection)
all other stop intersections designated in Ordinance 2000-4,as amended,remain in full force and effect.
