A RESOLUTION TEMPORARILY SUSPENDING THE ENFORCEMENT OF MCCALL CITY
CODE SECTION 5-3-430(B) AND PERMITTING THE POSSESSION AND SALE OF
FIREWORKS FROM DECEMBER 26, 1999 THROUGH JANUARY 1, 2000.
WHEREAS, McCall City Code 5-3-430(B) allows the possession and sale
of fireworks from July 1 through July 5 each year; and
WHEREAS, in answer to requests for allowing the sale and possession
of fireworks as such are defined in Section 5-3-410, McCall City
Code, Fire Chief Dale Points has recommended the temporary suspension
of the prohibition against such possession and sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City
of McCall, Idaho as follows:
Section 1 SUSPENSION OF ENFORCEMENT, That the enforcement of Section
5-3-430(B), McCall City Code, be temporarily suspended to
permit possession and sale of fireworks from noon December
26, 1999 through midnight January 1, 2000.
Section 2 RESUMPTION OF ENFORCEMENT, That such temporary suspension
shall terminate as of January 2, 2000, and the enforcement
of Section 5-3-430(B), McCall City Code continue as before
any suspension.
