RECREATION CENTER WORKSHOP
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA

The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 8 11 p m Present were Councilmembers Scott
Bass (amved at 9 25 p m ), Martha F Broucek, Alan H Fein, Robert Oldakowski, James L Peters
and Mayor Joe I Rasco Vice Mayor Mortimer Fned was absent Also present were Village
Manager C Samuel Kissinger Village Clerk Conchita H Alvarez and Village Attorney David
Wolpin
The Mayor welcomed the public to the workshop to discuss the Village's Recreation Center
The Mayor introduced Todd Hofferberth, Recreation Director Director Hofferberth addressed the
Council introducing Mr Ken Ballard who gave a visual presentation on the operation plan for the
Recreation Center
The following staff members were also present Chief of Fire Rescue John C Gilbert, Deputy
Chief of Police Cathy McElhaney and Director of Building, Zoning and Planning Jud
Kurlancheek
Also present were Robert G Currie, the Recreation Center architect and Michael Lanciault from
James A Cummings, Inc constructor for the project
