HomeMy Public PortalAbout053-2002 - Grant - Criminal Justice Institute ORDINANCE NO- 53- 2002 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM INDIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICES INSTITUTE WHEREAS, The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute has grant Funding available; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Police Department desires to submit a grant application to pay overtime for seatbelt enforcement blitzes; and WHEREAS, no local match is required for this grant. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: 1. The City of Richmond Police Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute to pay overtime for seatbelt enforcement blitzes. 2. The City of Richmond Police Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Four Thousand Dollars ($4,000.00). 3. Said Funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond Police Department, shall be appropriated to pay overtime for seatbelt enforcement blitzes.
