SPECIAL MEETING
April 26, 2007
The Lynwood Redevelopment Agency of the City of Lynwood met in a special
meeting at 11330 Bullis-Road on the above date at 5:22 p.m.
Chairman Byrd presiding.

Members Johnson, Pedroza, Santillan, and Byrd were present. Member
Vasquez was absent
Also present were Assistant City Manager-Finance Arnoldussen, City Attorney
Beltran, City Clerk Hooper, and City Treasurer Pygatt.
Secretary Hooper announced that the Agenda had been posted in accordance
with the Brown Act.

DISCUSSION ITEM
Item #6 FY 2007-08 BUDGET DEVELOPMENT
Comments:
As discussed in the February 13, 2007 meeting, staff is providing
an .update on the FY 2007-08 Budget Development. On February
14, 2007, the Finance Department had a Budget Workshop with all
Department Heads. The Budget Committee also met individually
with each Department Head to discuss their budget. Staff is
requesting that City Council accept this presentation and provide
direction on how to proceed.
Recommendation:
Staff recommends that the City Council receive and file the updated
budget development .presentation and that .the City Council
consider the following options in the preparation of the FY 2007-08
Budget Proposal:
(1) Implement Proposed budget cuts
(2) Implement Base Budget General Fund Budget
(3) Provide direction on new needs, reclassifications, and position
changes
Chairman Byrd stated all agendas are now open to discuss the FY 2007-08
Budget Development
Assistant City Manager -Director of Finance Arnoldussen explained the budget
for FY 2007-08. He discussed with council the analysis of Lynwood's current and
projected budget operating fund trends and conditions.
After agency's discussion, direction was given by the agency not to proceed with
filling vacant positions and return with the proposed budget cuts.
ADJOURNMENT
Having no further discussion, it was moved by Vice-Chairman Pedroza,
seconded by Charman Byrd, and carried to adjourn the special Lynwood
Redevelopment Agency Meeting at 7:35 p.m. in memory of Congresswoman
Juanita Miller-Mc Donald.
