A RESOLUTION OF The CITY COUNCIL OF The CITY OF MCCALL, IDAHO. ENDORSING
PARTICIPATION IN THE GEM COMMUNITY PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City Councit of McCatt is interested in the economic health of
the community and its dtizens; and
WHEREAS, the City Coundt wishes to support the efforts within and by this community
to become more prepared to support and foster the appropriate economic activities
of its dtizens; and
WHEREAS, the City Coundt wishes to support and encourage the appropriate efforts
within the community that promote economic devetopment of the community and the
economic wett-bein~ of its citizenry, and
WHEREAS, the Idaho Department of Commerce is offedn~ a program spedficatty
designed to hetp Idaho communities help themselves prepare for and sustain an
effective economic devetopment program; and
WHEREAS, this program is entitled the GEM COMMUNITIES Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Coundt of McCatt hereby supports
and endorses the partidpation of McCaLt in the GEM COMMUNITY Program of the Idaho
Department of Commerce; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the erected readership if this community
reatizes this program requires dedicated effort; and that this resotution is a pledge of
our honest intention to comptete the requirements for GEM COMMUNITY certification;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of McCalL is the organization
authorized to perform the tasks necessary for certification as a GEM COMMUNITY, and
that said organization wilt fo[iow the ~uidetines estabtished by the Idaho Department
of Commerce in performin~ the tasks necessary for certification as a GEM
COMMUNITY, and that said organization shait report to the City Coundt not tess than
quarterly re~ardin~ its progress.
This Resotution is in fuji effect upon its adoption this 2__~8 day of May, 199_~8.
