Leesburg Trash Collection Schedule for Thanksgiving Holiday
Leesburg, VA (November 18, 2013) – There will be no trash, recycling or yard waste collection
in the Town of Leesburg on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, 2013.
The trash collection schedule will be shifted by one day for all residential customers. On Friday,
November 29, 2013, residential customers in the Southeast and Southwest quadrants of Town
(includes South King and West Market Streets) will have trash, recycling and yard waste
collected. On Saturday, November 30, 2013, residential customers in the Northeast and
Northwest quadrants of Town (includes North King Street) will have trash, recycling and yard
waste collected.
For curbside commercial customers, there will be no trash or recycling collection on Thursday,
November 28, 2013. Trash and recycling will be collected for curbside commercial customers on
Friday, November 29, 2013. Saturday collections will take place as normal.
Bulk item collection will be on Friday, November 29, 2013, as usual. However, due to the
Thanksgiving Holiday, the deadline for placing items on the collection list will be 12:00pm on
Wednesday, November 27, 2013. All requests for bulk item pick-up must be received prior to
12:00pm on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 to be on Friday’s list for collection.
As a reminder, the Leesburg Town Offices will be closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday,
November 29, 2013 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
