Cemetery Resources Board Meeting
Thursday, April 19, 2018

Nancy Thompson called the meeting to order. A quorum was present.
The Cemetery Resources Board met on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Thomas Jefferson
Room, lower level of the John G. Christy Municipal Building, 320 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City,
Missouri.
Approval of the Minutes:
A motion was made for approval of the minutes from the March 15, 2018 meeting by Tim Theroff, Dawn
Hackman seconded. Minutes were approved.
Old Business:
The Historic Walking Tour was discussed between board members. Nancy Thompson discussed the
particulars on what time to show up to work at the event, bathroom accessibility, and other items that
will be needed for the event.
Nancy discussed the QR Codes and gave examples of materials that the codes could be used on (pvc and
aluminum). The price of the QR codes was also discussed. Nancy talked about the National Registry
Application and how it will be presented on May 11, 2018 in Clinton, Missouri to the Missouri Advisory
Council on Historic Preservation. Missouri Department of Natural Resources staff, Michelle Diedrich,
will be there to help give the presentation.

David Grellner mentioned he is still waiting on a response from Capitol Monuments regarding
installation of the Sara Walker gravestone. The weather has made it difficult for the installation to
occur.
New Business:
Nancy Thompson mentioned that a partnership with Amanda Burke with the Missouri Department of
Natural Resources may be occurring for hosting a cemetery preservation workshop in Woodland and Old
City Cemetery in the future.
Other Topics and Issues:
The next Cemetery Resources Board meeting was set for Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the
Thomas Jefferson Conference Room at City Hall.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
