A RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
APPROVING THE AGREEMENT WITH THE LYNWOOD CHAMBER OF
COMMERCE FOR ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Agency is desirous of obtaining for its benefit the special knowledge and
experience of the Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) to perform specific professional services for
the City, and the Chamber is desirous of providing such services; and
WHEREAS, the Agency is desirous to explain its advantages as a business, industrial
and.residential center, .disseminate related information and properly.follow.up and give
consideration to inquiries frequently made concerning activities.of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, the Chamber is organized for and equipped to carry out various promotional
activities on behalf of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, amulti-year Agreement with the Lynwood Chamber of Commerce will
benefit the Agency in advertising and promotion by providing for long-range planning in the area
of economic development and affording the Agency better control in directing Chamber activities;
and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERflA1NE AND ORDER AS FOLLOW:
Section 1. That the Agency authorizes the Chairman to execute certain Agreement
entitled "Agreement between the "Lynwood Redevelopment Agency and the Lynwood Chamber
of Commerce," by and between the Agency and the Lynwood Chamber of Commerce for a term
commencing October 7, 1999 and terminating June 30, 2002.
Section 2. That the Agency approves the following appropriation to pay the
Chamber for said advertising and promotion services during the period of July 1, 1999 to June 30,
2002 as follows:

General Fund (50%) and (50%) 12-5037
Projed Area A (25%) (50%)
Alameda Projed Area

FY 1999-2000 (This includes payment for July 1, $95,000 $95.000
1999-December 31, 1999 which has been paid to the
Chamber and therefore excluded from the
Agreement)
FY 2000-2001 $95,000 $95,000
FY 2001-2002 $95,000 $95,000
SECTION 3. The Secretary is directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to
the Board of Directors of the Lynwood Chamber of Commerce for ratification and approval by its
Board Directors. Said Agreement herein approved shall not be effective until this Resolution has
been ratified and approved by the Board of Directors of the Lynwood Chamber of Commerce.
SECTION 4. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
