HomeMy Public PortalAbout2019-21 Resolution Apporving the City of Plymouths Awarding of the Contract for the 2019 Brockton Lane ProjectMember DesLauriers introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO.2019-21 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH'S AWARDING OF THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2019 BROCI TON LANE PROJECT WHEREAS, on February 19, 2019, the city council adopted Resolution No. 2019-07, approving of plans and specifications and authorizing advertising for the 2019 Brockton Lane Project (the "Project"), in partnership with the City of Plymouth; and WHEREAS, the cities of Medina and Plymouth have agreed that the City of Plymouth will solicit bids and, if both city councils authorize, enter into a contract to complete the Project; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2019-07 and the advertisement for bids for the Project, bids were received, opened, and tabulated according to the law, and the following 5 bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Total Base Bid New Look Contracting $2,187,869.70 Meyer Contracting $2,464,587.19 GMH Asphalt $2,478,564.61 Northdale Construction $2,516,211.65 Park Construction $2,661,877.84 Engineers Estimate $2,397,505.70 AND WHEREAS, it appears that New Look Contracting, Inc. of Rogers, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum qualifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Medina, Minnesota, that the City of Medina hereby approves of the City of Plymouth awarding and entering into a contract as described herein for the 2019 Brockton Lane Project according to the plans and specifications previously approved by the City Council.
