Box 1576 Tybee Island, GA 31328 Dear Ms. Jarrell: Section 9-050 of the Land Development Code of the City of Tybee Island requires the enforcement of the International Residential Code (IRC). The IRC requires final inspection of a newly constructed swimming pool. According to our records you own a swimming pool that was constructed but has not passed a final inspection. On October 6, 2010, a letter regarding the swimming pool at 2 Second Avenue was mailed to your attention. However, a reinspection of the swimming pool has not been requested. It would be a violation of the code for you, your family, or your guests to use the swimming pool. In addition, you would have considerable liability if an accident was to occur and the pool had not been inspected for code compliance. This is a very serious problem. Please take the time to make your property a safer place to live and play by contacting us immediately at (912) 786-4573, extension 114, to schedule an inspection. Please refer to permit 09-0057.
