HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 77-16511 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 77 -1651 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ESTABLISHING HOLIDAYS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 2354 of the Temple City Municipal Code, the holidays established for the City of Temple City are as follows: All employees shall be entitled to the following legal holidays: January 1 February (3rd Monday) May (last Monday) July 4 September (1st Monday) November (4th Thursday) November (Friday) December 25 One Floating Holiday New Year's Day Washington's Birthday Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Day Any day appointed by the President or Governor as a public holiday, subject to approval of the City Council, and any other day designated by the Council. When a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be the official day off; when a holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday will be the official day off. SECTION 2. Except as set forth above, City offices skiall be open to the public for business from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on all other days of the year excepting Saturdays and Sundays. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5th day of July, 1977.
