LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY MEETING
Tuesday, August 18, 1992

1 CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS Local Planning Agency Chair Betty Sime
called the meeting to order at 6 47 p m
2 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Chair Sune led the Pledge
3 ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS In addition to Chair Sime, the following LPA Board Members
were present Cliff Brody, Mortimer Fried, Michael Hill, Joe I Rasco and Ray Sullivan Also
present were Village Manager C Samuel Kissinger, Village Attorney Alina Denis, Interun Village
Clerk Jack Neustadt Community Development Director Robin Sobrnno and Recording Secretary
Beatris M Arguelles LPA Member Rafael Conte was absent at Roll CalL
4 APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES The minutes of June 17, 1992 were approved as submitted
5 AGENDA APPROVAL/ADDMONS/DELETIONS/SUI3STITUTIONS Chair Sime requested
a report from the Attorney as well as from staff with regard to the interview process Village
attorney Alina Denis reviewed for the Board the process through which each candidate would be
interviewed Village Manager Kissinger disseminated the attached list of proposed questions for
the Board's perusal ii interviewing the candidates The Attorney advised that the same questions
be asked of all the candidates in order to maintain fairness in the interview process
6 OPEN FLOOR FOR PUBLIC DISCUSSION Village residents Monica Mandrn and Debbie
Neve made brief comments to the Board with regard to the selection of the Masterplanner
7 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN CONSULTANT INTERVIEWS Each of the following firms made
a 40 minute presentation to the Board after which the Board was able to question each for a
period of 15 minutes The Board alternated rooms (between the Cape Florida North and Cape
Florida South ballrooms) m order to allow for the next candidate to set up The following firms
were interviewed

8 OPEN FLOOR FOR PUBLIC DISCUSSION No open discussion took place
9 ADJOURNMENT Chair Sime announced the remainder of the interviews would take place at
6 30 p m , Wednesday, August 19, 1992 at the Sheraton Royal Biscayne, 555 Ocean Drive and
adjourned the meeting at 1125 p m
