SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA
SEPTEMBER 14, 1992
VILLAGE OFFICES CONFERENCE ROOM
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Rafael Conte at 8 10
a m to award hurricane related contracts
Present were Trustees Brody, Fried, Rasco, Sime, Vice Mayor
Sullivan, and Mayor Conte Also present were Village Manager
Kissinger, Acting Village Clerk Neustadt, Village Engineer Penin,
and Community Development Director Sobrino
A motion was made by Trustee Brody, seconded by Trustee Sime,
to terminate the 11 00 p m to 5 00 a m curfew
The motion was adopted unanimously by a 6-0 vote of the
members present
The following resolution was moved by Trustee Fried, seconded
by Trustee Sime
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH MANGUS
INSTALLATIONS, INC FOR BURYING SEAWEED, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
The resolution was adopted unanimously by a 6-0 vote of the
members present
The following resolution was moved by Trustee Fried, seconded
by Vice Mayor Sullivan
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH MANGUS
INSTALLATION, INC FOR LOADING, HAULING AND DISPOSAL OF DEBRIS AT
THE TEMPORARY STORAGE SITE, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
The resolution was adopted unanimously by a 6-0 vote of the
members present
The following resolution was moved by Trustee brody, seconded
by Vice Mayor Sullivan
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING
THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH DRIGSS
CONSTRUCTION TO LOAD, HAUL AND DISPOSE OF ALL OF THE DEBRIS FROM
THE VILLAGE RIGHTS -OF -WAY INCLUDING RAKING, SWEEPING, BROOMING, AND
FINAL DRESSING OF SWALES, STREETS AND SIDEWALKS, PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
The resolution was adopted unanimously by a 6-0 vote of the
members present
An analysis of the seventeen bids received, upon which the
Village Manager's recommendations were made, is appended
A motion was made by Trustee Sime, seconded by Trustee Fried,
to confirm the manager's action on hurricane clean-up and to
announce that hurricane debris and damaged household goods will
continue to be picked up by the Village until September 30, 1992
The motion was adopted unanimously by a 6-0 vote of the
members present
The meeting was adjourned at 9.15 a m
