LOCAL PLANNING AGENCY MEETING
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 1992
KEY BISCAYNE COMMUNITY CHURCH
355 GLENRIDGE ROAD
1 & 3. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS: The meeting was
called to order by Chairman Sime at 6:00 p.m. Present were
Trustees Brody, Fried, Hill, Vice Mayor Sullivan, Mayor Conte,
Vice Chairman Rasco, and Chairman Sime.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Chairman Sime led the Pledge.
4. AGENDA: No changes were made to the agenda.
5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of the meetings of August 18,
1992, August 19, 1992 and August 20, 1992 were approved by
unanimous consent.
6. OPEN FLOOR FOR PUBLIC DISCUSSION: Chairman Sime opened the
floor for public discussion.
7. INTERVIEW OF COMPREHENSIVE PLAN CONSULTANT FINALISTS:
The four Comprehensive Plan Consultant teams were heard at 30
minute intervals as follows: Andres Duany and Elizabeth Plater
Zyberk with Dover, Kohl and Associates; Solin and Associates;
Robert K. Swarthout, Inc.; and Wallace Roberts and Todd.
8. PUBLIC DISCUSSION: Chairman Sime opened the floor for public
discussion. Several residents spoke.
9. RECOMMENDED SELECTION OF MASTER PLAN CONSULTANT FOR
CONSIDERATION BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES: The members ranked the
consultants resulting as follows: Swarthout
Hill, and Rasco; Duany - Brody, Sullivan and
to recommend the selection of Swarthout, the
favor with Vice Mayor Sullivan voting No.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
