Thank you for asking Wackenhut Services, Incorporated to participate in a presentation
for the Village on March 30, 1992
As indicated in our telephone conversation, WSI is heavily committed in preparing
recompetition proposals to the U S Department of Energy on our current contracts at the
Nevada Test Site (425 personnel - $25 million annual revenues) and the Rocky Flats
Plant (500 personnel - $31 million annual revenues) Accordingly, we will be unable to
attend the March 30, 1992 meeting
Your attention is invited to the WSI proposal on Fire and Rescue Services, dated
September 19 1991 to the Fire and Rescue Services Transition Committee Should the
Village of Key Biscayne decide to issue a formal Request for Pr000sals for these
services, WSI would be most interested in participating in the procurement
It is apparent in reviewing the above cited September 19, 1991 preliminary proposal that
WSI's approach would have several distinct advantages in comparison to those of Metro
Dade and the City of Miami These relate to the overall staffing and WSI's plans to have
the title to all Fire and Rescue Services equipment matenals, vehicles and apparatus vest
in the Village of Key Biscayne at the end of the 3 - 5 year contract
