HomeMy Public PortalAbout04-13-92 Special Council Meeting.tifVILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA MINUTES Special Board of Trustees Meeting Village Clerk Candidate Interviews Monday, April 13, 1992 Key Biscayne Presbyterian Church - Fellowship Hall 1 CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS Mayor Rafael Conte called the meeting to order at 7 15 p m The following Trustees were also present Clifford Brody, Mortimer Fried, and Vice Mayor Sullivan Also Present were Village Manager Sam Kissinger, Village Attorney Joe Serota, and Recording Secretary Beatris Arguelles Trustee Sime ar- rived shortly thereafter, and Trustee Rasco arrived halfway into the interview of the third candidate 2 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Mayor Conte led the Pledge 3 VILLAGE CLERK SEARCH COMMITTEE ADDRESS Committee Chairman Edward H Stone addressed the Board, reporting on the actions of the Committee with respect to the selection process that had taken place Chairman Stone introduced each candidate in alphabetical order The following candidates were interviewed by the Board individually Joanne Holdgate, Nantucket, New York, Sally MacDonald, Miami, Florida, Jeffrey Naftal, Surfside, Florida A profile on each of the candidates was provided to each Trustee, the Manager and the Attorney, a copy of which shall be recorded with these fully executed minutes 4 DISCUSSION BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES Following the interview process, discussion ensued among the Board, as well as discussion with Committee Members Following a suggestion by Trustee Brody the Board decided by consensus to delay making a selection on a Village Clerk un- til the next regular Board of Trustees Meeting to take place Tuesday, April 14, 1992, in order to allow those Trustees not present to view the video tape of the meeting The Village Manager was asked to make available the video tape of the meeting to Trustees Hill and Rasco 5 ADJOURNMENT Mayor Conte adjourned the meeting at 8 45 p m , af- ter a motion to adjourn by Trustee Fried was seconded by Trustee Brody Submitted for approval by Beatris M Arguelles, Recording Secretary Approved this day of , 1992, on a motion to approve by seconded by Trustees voted as follows C Brody M Fried , M Hill J Rasco , B Sime , Vice Mayor Sullivan , Mayor Conte Any person wishing to appeal a decision made by this Board with respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the pro- ceeding, and for such purposes, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is made Page 1 of 1
