Meeting was called to order at 9:07AM by Deane Keuch, Chairman. Those present were: Bud Rowles,Bill
Porter and Doug Wilcock, members, Paul Anderson, Superintendent and Pamela Springer, Administrative
Supervisor.
TOWN/CITIZEN PARTICIPATION: None
2. MINUTES: Bud Rowles made the MOTION to approve the November 1, 2012 meeting minutes. Deane
Keuch seconded the motion. Passed unanimously.
3.SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT
A. Water Quality
• All routine samples have come back with acceptable results.
• All samples from A.P. Newcomb have passed with acceptable results. Gates need to be opened for
water to flow through the system and then services can be transferred to the new main.
B. Operations
• The Well #6 project is moving along. Paul will contact NSTAR to inquire about the electrical
installation time line. Deane had asked at a prior meeting how long the generators at Well#6 could
run in the event of complete power failure. Paul spoke with the project engineer and was told that
they were set up to run off the two propane tanks for up to two weeks depending on how often the
pumps would need to run.
• System flushing is ongoing.
• Paul received approval from the Selectmen to apply for an asset management grant. The grant would
supply approximately $46,000.00 in funding to be used for tablets and Amazon Cloud technology
for field work.
• Paul reviewed a draft of the departments five year Capitol Plan. It included scheduled spending as
well as future possible spending.
