Board of Assessors Meeting
January 24,2013
Members Present: Diane Salomone and Howard Hayes
Also attending was David Tately, Deputy Assessor
Mr. Hayes called the meeting to order at 5:45 p.m.
The Board unanimously approved the minutes of the meetings of January 10, 2013.
Luke Hinkle, Manager of the Brewster Community Solar Garden, LLC, addressed the Board
about the abatement for his project. After describing the project, he explained to the Board
that the project was not complete on January 1, 2012, and provided the Board with some
financial information to assist the Board with its decision. After Mr. Hinkle left, the Board
did not decide on the application, preferring to wait until after Mr. Tately attended a
workshop on valuation of solar energy projects sponsored by the Massachusetts Department
of Revenue.
New Business:
Mr. Hayes moved to convene Executive Session to discuss and vote on FY 2013 Real Estate
and Personal Property Abatement Applications. Ms. Salomone seconded. Roll call vote was
taken to enter Executive Session at 6:45. Salomone-yes, Hayes-yes.
The Board exited Executive Session at 7:30.
Mr. Hayes moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Ms. Salomone seconded, and it passed
2-0.

Board of Assessors Meeting
January 24,2013
Executive Session
Howard Hayes called the Executive Session of the Board of Assessors to order at 6:45 p.m.
in the Assessors Office.
Present: Assessors Hayes and Salomone, and Deputy Assessor David Tately
The Executive Session was called to review and discuss Real Estate Abatement Applications.
After discussion on each application,the Board voted unanimously to approve each of the
Real Estate Abatement Applications, in the amounts indicated, as shown on the list attached
hereto as Addendum 1.
Mr. Hayes moved to adjourn Executive Session. Ms. Salomone seconded. Roll call vote
was unanimous to adjourn. Hayes-yes, Salomone-yes.
The Executive Session was adjourned at 7:30.
