PLACE: Town Hall Offices,2198 Main Street PRESENT: Ralph Ingegneri,Kevin Pooler, Phil Lindquist, Robert Miller, Mike Fitzgerald, Charles Sumner, Chief Moran, David Telman, Ben deRuyter, Herb Montgomery, Jon Phillips, Deane Keuch NOT PRESENT: Geof Deering The Request for Services for an Owner Project Manager for the Fire Station project has been issued by the Town. Bob Miller stated that currently 13 firms have indicated an interest in the project. Bob Miller reviewed the project timeline for the proposals for the Owner Project Manager services. He also provided information on the make-up of the review subcommittee. The goal will be to finalize the selection process prior to Town Meeting,which is scheduled for November 18, 2013. After the Committee completes this effort, we need to be ready to rapidly move into the selection process for architectural/design services. Bob Miller gave a brief presentation on the agenda and format for the Thursday, October 3, 2013 citizen's forum on the Fire & EMS Department Project. Attached is a copy of the agenda and participants. In addition there is a fact sheet that includes some project information, a site plan and the new facility floor plan. Selectmen Ben deRuyter will be moderating the meeting and coordinating the event. The meeting will be televised and recorded for future use. Dave Telman suggested that the committee create a list of frequently asked questions with answers that could be available on the Town's website. Phil Lindquist suggested that the CDR Maguire information sheet should include a notation to identify the various structures on the site plan. Chief Moran did ask the committee members who have experience in renovation and construction to speak out in order to educate the public. Fabrizio Caruso from CDR Maguire will be also be present to assist in the presentation and provide additional information. Mike Fitzgerald suggested that the committee make sure that there is a copy of the latest feasibility study, along with the prior studies at the public meeting. Herb Montgomery suggested that the committee work to review the project concept with the permitting agencies in advance. Chief Moran indicated that the committee could utilize the staff review process to do a preliminary project review in advance of Town Meeting. There was a lengthy conversation about the impact of doing nothing with the facility. Bob Miller mentioned that he and Charlie Sumner will be attending the Finance Committee meeting on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 to review the Stony Brook Elementary School Phase II Window Replacement www.town.b rewste r.m a. BNAC Minutes 10-01-13 Page 1 of 2 Project and the Eddy Elementary School Roof& HVAC Repair Project. Dave Telman asked about the project timeline for the Request for Proposal review and selection process. Bob Miller indicated that he and Charlie Sumner hope to finalize the document with the next several days. The September 10, 2013 minutes were approved.
