Please allow three business days to process the request. Minutes of Meeting Jefferson City Council Committee on Administration Monday, July 2, 2018 City Hall - 320 E. McCarty Street Boone Bancroft Conference Room ATTENDEES: Committee members present: Erin Wiseman, Laura Ward, Rick Prather, Jon Hensley and Ron Fitzwater. Staff present: Gail Strope, Steve Crowell, Ryan Moehlman and Margie Mueller. Others Present: David Kemna, Mark Schreiber and Rick Mihalevich Meeting came to order at 5:30 p.m. by Councilwoman Erin Wiseman. The June 4, 2018 minutes were approved with a motion by Councilman Ron Fitzwater and second by Councilman Rick Prather. The motion passed 5-0. Residency Requirement Change for Historic Preservation Commission: Presented by Laura Ward. City Counselor, Ryan Moehlman said the law is not clear whether a non-resident can serve on the Historic Preservation Commission. After discussion, a motion was made by Councilwoman Laura Ward to move forward to council for further discussion. Motion died for lack of a second. Human Relations Commission Membership: Presented by Laura Ward. City Counselor, Ryan Moehlman said he does not believe a person attending the meeting electronically can be counted to make quorum. He will do more research and report back at the next meeting. Appointment Review: Presented by Gail Strope. The committee made one new appointment. A motion was made by Councilman Rick Prather and seconded by Councilwoman Laura Ward. The motion passed 5-0. Boards and Commission Recommended Appointment New Term Expires Term Full/Partial Cultural Arts Commission Emily Fretwell March 2021 Full There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.m. The next scheduled meeting will be held at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in the Boone/Bancroft room at City Hall.
